A few days ago, I saw a video, and this question has stayed in my notebook ever since. Yes, why should we take notes?
My general answer is:
Whether it’s notes or blogs, they are for ourselves. The important thing about taking notes is the process, the process of clarifying our thoughts. Most of the notes we take will not be looked at again, because in the process of taking notes, we have already clarified this issue and have a way of analyzing the problem. One reason for needing to look at the notes frequently is that we have not yet clarified the complete context, and perhaps there is still something missing about this thing.
The purpose of public notes, in addition to helping those who may need it, is more importantly to gather people who share concerns about these issues and to generate more discussions, not only about the problems with the blogs themselves, but more importantly, to lead to further exploration.
Keeping notes helps reduce personal inertia. When taking notes, time passes very quickly. Whether you are thinking about the content of the blog or simply researching how to keep a blog, it can help you get out of laziness. Sometimes, a little bit of thinking can also bring you different pleasures.
So, how should we keep notes? Regarding this question, I believe there is no answer. Keeping notes is a process of making efforts. First, keep them in the way that is most convenient for you, whether it’s taking notes on paper, on various electronic media, or even if you are always researching how to take notes, I believe there will be gains.
